Émile Boudier (1828-1920) was a French pharmacist and mycologist, who dedicated himself at the age of 50 to his scientific work. According to Stafleu, only 125 complete copies of the Icones were printed. This is Nr. 77, signed by the author, with the list of 115 subscribers. A beautiful copy from the collection of the swiss mycologists F. and L. Marti. Bound in seven volumes - one with text and six with 100 plates each. Original titles and indexes for the plates have been loosely inserted. To the textvolume is added a handwritten index of species on 12 leaves. Very nice later half-leather with raised bands and gilt titles on spines, slightly rubbed. 31 cm.
